I used to hope that the smart people in the world would somehow solve everyones problems.  As I’ve grown older I’ve realised that the smart people actually need to talk to dumb people like me more often just to get basic things right.  Take this invention here, it uses Segway technology to provide stand up transportation for people that have lost the use of their legs. On paper probably a good idea. In reality all it does is replace the respectable practicality of a wheel chair with a giant Lady Shaver.  People like me need to be involved in the design process of stuff like this so we can point out the obvious before it’s too late.
