The bravest, most incredibly manliest things can so easily be nullified by lycra leggings.

Back in the old days whenever your country was going through a bad time financially you had to go start a war somewhere to take peoples minds off of it.  Lots of people died, millions more suffered, things were never the same afterwards but generally the financial situation seemed to sort itself out.

But these days we have exotic sounding diseases that do the job so much better.  Hardly anyone dies and the only suffering is having to sit through endless “investigative journalism” reports and “urgent updates” on telly.  It takes everybody’s minds off the recession without having to commit troops or make up cool war slogans… so all in all a good result.

Also, even if I did remember which one he reminded me of I can never remember any of their names. Except for Fozzie, Kermit and the Swedish Chef.

I haven’t had the Jehovahs Witnesses come round selling their magazine for ages. It’s a shame as I would have definitely paid the $2 for this issue just to find out what immoral things true christians are doing with trees.  I’m certainly going to be looking sideways at anyone who claims to be a keen gardener from now on.

I know part of me should be finding this somehow sexy. But to be honest whenever I look at this photo all I can think about is the time my dad took me to see Lady and the Tramp at the pictures.

Writing your name in the snow just got a whole lot easier.

A friend of mine has got a job working for some Russian “businessmen” and sent me a bunch of photos of Russian truck drivers. Turns out the rules regarding road-worthiness are a little lax over there. Driving around without doors or wheels seems to be fine….

… however not all transportation is entirely outside the law. Personally I find the Russian road policing system quite arbitrary. 

As an example of architectural design I doubt you’ll find anything worse than this. As an example of installation art I doubt you’ll find better.
